THE E.L.T. MESENS FOUNDATION

Édouard-Léon-Théodore Mesens, known as E.L.T. Mesens (Brussels, 1903-1971), pianist, composer, poet, writer, publisher of surrealist magazines, gallerist, art collector and visual artist, was one of the founders of surrealism in Belgium.

Based in Brussels, the E.L.T. Mesens Foundation aims to preserve and promote the artist’s legacy. The Foundation also establishes the Catalogue Raisonné of Mesens' work and publishes it online.
